Overhead-directed Packdown Routines (in progress)
- Overhead Inventory Logger Allows an associate to quickly create a list of all the items in a bay's overhead. This is done using a Nadamoo hand scanner (or equivalent) that has been blue-toothed to a personal phone or tablet with internet capability. An associate goes systematically through a bay's overhead space and records an item by scanning either the SKU barcode, the UPC barcode, or the package barcode. If none of those scannable sources are available, one can enter the SKU by by hand. This program will also accept bear tags. To start acquiring a new bays inventory one first scans the bay code with the hand scanner followed by the identifier of each overhead item. Once the items in a bay have been recorded, a new bay can be started by scanning that bay's bay code, or the list can just be saved by pressing the green "Save List" button. - Downstock Worksheet Selector This program first displays a listing of all the past sessions of the Inventory Logger sorted by date. Clicking on "Display List" provides a printable list of the items scanned on a particular date in the order that they were scanned. To the left of each item is a scannable barcode which can be scanned by a First Phone running SKU Depot. Using the First Phone an associate can locate the facing for each item on the list and determine if it is in need of replenishment. If the item is in the wrong overhead, or does not belong in that bay due to its sales status (e.g., active/inactive no-home, clearance, etc.) it can be dealt with accordingly. The printed worksheet is designed to be used between customers to do the equivalent of full-bay packdowns on a bi-weekly, or monthly basis without disrupting the aisles.
